Delta-9 Products

What is Delta-9?

Wondering, what is delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and does Delta-9 get you high? Delta-9 THC is the most popular and abundant compound in cannabis plants, delivering that high feeling people know and love. In addition to appearing in cannabis, Delta-9 also exists in high-CBD hemp strains. Regardless of the plant source, Delta-9 THC is the same molecule that interacts with the same receptors in the brain and nervous system. In addition to psychoactive properties, research shows Delta-9 effectively supports deeper sleep, mood elevation, nausea, and pain relief.

Is Delta-9 “real weed”?

When people ask if Delta-9 is “real weed,” they typically want to know if Delta-9 is synonymous with federally illegal marijuana plants. The answer is yes and no. Delta-9 THC is the primary psychoactive substance in marijuana (aka cannabis) on the DEA’s Schedule 1 controlled substances list. However, Delta-9 is not a weed itself–it is one of the hundreds of hemp and marijuana compounds that can be extracted into finished products like oils, concentrates, and edibles.

Delta-9 Effects

Delta-9 THC effects are typically positive, making it the most commonly used psychoactive substance in the US. Most people say Delta-9 THC makes them feel physically and emotionally relaxed, joyful, and open. They laugh more, feel less pain, sleep deeper, think differently, and eat better. However, not everyone has the same Delta-9 high experience. Some consumers report uncomfortable Delta-9 effects, especially when they take high dosages of the compound.
Typical Delta-9 THC Benefits
Stress relief
Pain relief
Nausea relief
Potential Delta-9 Side Effects
Paranoia and anxiety
Short-term memory loss
It’s essential to remember that Delta-9 THC is not a one-size-fits-all cannabinoid. Rather, Delta-9 affects everyone differently based on their baseline disposition, hormone levels, environment, and dosage. That's why it's essential to start at low THC dosages before exploring more concentrated products.

How long does Delta-9 stay in the system?

Typical Delta 9-THC drug tests look for the compound in one’s urine, which can remain in the system for three to ninety days. Occasional smokers may be free and clear after only three days. In contrast, chronic heavy THC users might have to wait 30 to 90 days before testing negative. Urine-based analyses are the most common, but hair and blood tests can also identify THC compounds. Saliva tests generally detect THC one to three days after use–and up to 90 days for chronic users. Blood tests typically detect THC no more than two days later but occasionally identify the compound after 25 days. Hair tests are the most THC sensitive, detecting Delta-9 up to 90 days after use.

Delta-8 vs. Delta-9 vs. Delta-10

The Delta-9 THC molecule is almost identical to Delta-8 and Delta-10 THC. The only difference is where the double electron bond falls on each THC isomer’s atom chain. Delta-9 contains a double-bond electron on its 9th atom chain. Delta-10's double bond appears on its 10th atom chain, and Delta-8’s double bond falls on its 8th atom chain. Experts believe these minor distinctions are responsible for the differences in each compound’s psychoactive effects.

Is Delta-9 Legal?

Delta-9 is legal in all 50 states when it is derived from federally regulated hemp, like our Delta-9 cookies. These products are allowed as long as they contain less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight, as required by law. On the other hand, Delta-9 is illegal if it comes from federally banned marijuana. These high-THC cannabis strains are listed on the DEA’s Controlled Substances Act and are only permissible in states that have medical marijuana or adult-use programs.

How much Delta-9 does each QWIN cookie contain, and what’s the best dosage for me?

Each QWIN Delta-9 THC cookie contains 50mg of Delta-9. These are high potency edibles, so people should not consume one whole cookie if they’re new to hemp and cannabis. Instead, consumers should start by taking a bite and waiting 30 minutes before eating more. Depending on tolerance levels, individuals may get as many as four to eight uses from a single cookie.
